A day to remember…

May 10th is named as Lupus day in the world…Probably the first thing that pops into the mind of any one who has not heard about Lupus is what Lupus is and why would someone write about it? …Lupus is an autoimmune system disease…it appears when your immune system starts to attack the body itself, thinking that the body is the enemy…So I was diagnosed with it about 6 years ago…ever since we were introduced to each other, we have been enemies, friends, two sides of a story…and these days we are not really interacting with each other… as if we are not on speaking terms with each other….which I honestly like…Perhaps the most important thing that I have learned after 6 years of a complicated relationship with Lupus is that you are definitely stronger than you think you are… it might sound like a cliche…it might indeed be one…but it is the truth…because unless you have a death wish, you have to fight back and win each and every battle…and every single moment is a challenge…whether you accept it or deny it…So I am writing this both for myself and for anyone who might randomly happen to be here and who has a similar battle to win…You are not alone, we are not alone…and we can do this…and this is the thing about strong people…they know they will eventually survive! So let’s remember this day, the day we remind ourselves that we fight and we never ever give up hope…because that is the only road to survival…!
